This past weekend we took Siler to
Peebles Farm. It's located between Augusta and McCrory off of
US 64 on County Road 249. It took a little over an hour to get there from Jonesboro. They had a huge pumpkin patch, a wide open play area for kids. The play area had some tire swings and other random stuff that the kids seem to enjoy. There were a few animals in pens, such as pigs, chickens, goats and a lama. One baby goat just walked around the grounds freely. A lot of the kids just followed it around, wanting to touch it, but not wanting to get to close. Some people even got a bag and picked themselves some cotton. You could even shoot corn out of this cannon and they had a bulls eye out in the corn field that you had to try and hit. There was a concession stand with pretty good food. Hamburgers, hot dogs, cheese sticks & nachos all looked really good. And of course they had a huge corn maze.
We thought we would just walk in the corn maze without a map and find our way. We were mistaken. After 30 minutes or more we ran into a family that had a map and they acted as if they knew what they were doing. So we followed them for about 20 minutes and thankfully they led to us out of there. After finishing the maze we went and picked us out some pumpkins to take home. They had tons of pumpkins and probably had 10 different kinds of pumpkins ranging in different colors and sizes.
If you're interested in going you can click the following links below for more info. It cost $8 a person to get in, Siler was free. Then we spent about $9 on food while we there and then about $20 on pumpkins that we took home.
