Over the last year or so I’ve realized why parents get excited and act all goofy about the most random stuff. I’ve started to do the same thing when it comes to Siler.

Today Siler went to her first birthday party. Her friend Addison turned 3 years old today and celebrated with a Tinkerbell party.

About 2 months ago I wrote a blog post called “Crawl. Pull Up. Stand. Smile. Fall. Cry. Repeat.” detailing how Siler was trying to walk, but wasn’t quite there yet. Fast forward a few weeks and she’s turned into a “reckless walking machine”. It’s nonstop Crawl - Pull Up - Stand - Smile - Take Off Like a Crazy Person - Fall - Repeat.

Two weeks ago I faced my toughest challenge yet, as a father. A whole week by myself with Siler. Just me and a 9 month old trying to survive for 6 nights and 7 days (Monday through Sunday). Of course we survived, but not without a lot of help.

We decided to buy a small plastic swimming pool this weekend. Pretty sure it will get used a lot this summer. Hopefully it get Siler used to water and keep her from being scared of it.

Ok, I can admit that Siler shows favoritism towards Jennifer. Its that whole motherly-gave-birth-to-you thing.

Over the last few weeks I've noticed Siler's personality is starting show. Now Siler is able to do things on our own.

We got a kick out of Siler getting into the Christmas presents.

Siler will be turning 5 months old next week. It seems weird, but its hard to remember her being a newborn. She has grown up a lot in the last few months, but it wasn't until yesterday when I got to see my cousin's little baby boy that realized how much.

Siler is 3 months old now and over the last couple days has turned into a noise machine.

A lake day is just what we needed.

Nothing to detailed, just a basic time line from when Jennifer first went into labor until Siler was born.

Well, we made it through the first 48 hours without any problems or issues and baby Siler is doing very well. A lot of this can be credited to our family, friends and the employees at NEA Hospital.

When I got up this morning I knew we had a baby doctor appointment, but I didn't realize it would be different then the rest. Usually we go in, get checked, no big news, see ya in a few weeks and were done. Today was a bit more exciting.

Jennifer and I have guesses for Siler's birthday. What's your's?

My rehab is going well & we had another 4D ultrasound. The end of the post shows our upcoming "rehab" & "baby" schedules.

We went in for our scheduled 4D Ultrasound last week and it was pretty cool. The lady who performed our ultrasound said it didn't turn out very well so we have to go back in a week or so. If this 4D ultrasound isn't considered very good then I can't wait to see one that is.

March has been a pretty cool month. I got to feel and see Siler move for the first time.

The Siler Family came to town to paint and get Siler's nursery finished.

Less than a month ago my wife and I found out we would be having a daughter. We even recorded it so we could hear them saying "it's a girl" whenever we wanted.
